Our first priority is to educate our patients on their injury, empowering them to participate in their journey to recovery.
We focus on alleviating pain and regaining full unrestricted movement for our patients. To facilitate this we may use manual therapy techniques, which can reduce pain and improve range of movement.
Treatment may include soft tissue and deep tissue massage, joint mobilisations and manipulations, muscle stretches, medical acupuncture, taping and strapping. We have strong relationships with local GP’s and surgeons, meaning we can streamline referrals where necessary.
We strive to identify the cause of our patient’s pain and address it fully, considering both predisposing and maintaining factors. Our aim is not only get patients better, but to exceed their own expectations and mitigate injury recurrence.
Part of this process is utilising exercise to build resilience. We have a fully equipped gym and all of our practitioners are proficient at prescribing rehabilitation exercises that are individualised to their patient.
Patient orientated goals are at the heart of our approach, meaning that we tailor our management plan to fit their individual goals.
All practitioners at Enactive Health are informed of best evidence practice to ensure we are at the forefront of medical practice. Some of our practitioners have been published in medical journals, medical books, teach internationally and work with professional sports teams.
We strive to improve all aspects of health and wellbeing. We believe this is the key to our success rate and for sustainable results.
About Your Visit
We’re here to guide you through a typical visit to our clinic and what to expect before your initial appointment.
On your first consultation, a detailed case history will be taken, both clinical and Osteopathic. We will examine the region, associated areas and formulate a diagnosis.
We use the support of other health professionals and rehabilitation specialists, when appropriate, to support the treatment provided and enable on going care.
